I won an “argument” with him and he said my prize could be whatever I wanted. I left my ex that night and went on a date with him the next day. He took me to a park and held me. Then he kissed me. We met at work almost 4 years ago and had been working together in the office for a few months. We both knew that there had to be something between us. We took his kids to the park one day and he said, “I don’t want to freak you out, but I love you.” This was 2 weeks after our first date. Every time I was with him I couldn’t help but to stare at him because he is the most perfect man in the world. I still stare at him, almost a year later, in disbelief.
Postscript: Four months and 10 days after our first date, we got married at the courthouse. He makes me laugh like no one else. The passion, love, excitement, and butterflies that he still gives me are indescribable. The one-year anniversary of our first date is on April 11th.

I was reading “Ultimate Spider-Man” volume 22, when Mary Jane and Peter Parker announce they 1) love each other and 2) would marry each other and 3) ultimately hook up. I thought to myself, “I love him more than Spider-Man loves Mary Jane.” I no longer question if I might love him, I just know that I do.
Postscript: This was yesterday, 2/26/2010, that I came to the realization. I’ve known that he’s loved me for a year; I’m sorry that I made him wait.

We met on a forum. He only said hello because my profile said I liked Stephen King and tattoos. It was a 4-hour conversation that day. We were both ending bad relationships and not looking to start a new one, especially not with 22 hours of driving time between us. So, it was e-mails, cam dates, and phone calls. Within a month, we were hooked and he wanted to see if we were as real in person as we were online. After 3 months of frequent visits, I moved to be with him. That was in 2003.
Postscript: We married in July 2007, and things have not changed. We enjoy life together and are as into each other as we were on day 1.

We had been happily dating for a few months. One day, while driving around town, we were stopped at an intersection when he pointed toward a side road and said, “If you go that way for 3 hours, you end up at the beach.” I laughed. He got a big smile on his face and asked, “You don’t believe me?” Three hours later we were walking on the beach in the moonlight. I knew then that I would spend the rest of my life with him.
Postscript: This year we will mark 19 years of marriage. He is my husband and best friend, and we still take drives on a whim.

He was a regular at he coffee shop I managed. He asked if I wanted to go for a ride on his motorcycle. So, on that warm summer evening, out on a back road in the county, he took me for a ride. We stopped on the side of the road for a break and just talked for over an hour. On the way back, we tucked in and went fast. Around 170 mph. It was the most euphoric and free feeling in the world. I wasn’t scared a bit. I knew then and there that if I could trust him to take me 170 mph on his motorcycle, I could trust him with anything.
Postscript: We went on several more dates after that. A week later he told me he loved me and I said it back. We have been together for the past year and seven months and are getting married May 22, 2010. We still go fast on the bike, whenever he takes me for rides. One day, I’ll get my own.

A few months after a nasty breakup my (now) boyfriend and I started dating. I was really hesitant for him to meet my young son, but he was persistent and I finally let them meet. A few months later, he was leaving to go home when my son said, “I love you.” He immediately said, “I love you too, buddy.” That’s when I knew I loved him.
Postscript: Over a year later and we’re still going strong
