We met on Craigslist’s Casual Encounters listing, just looking for some fun. But when I laid up against him and he squeezed me so tight, we both knew it was more than just a fling…
Postscript: Six months so far and working so hard to create the future of our dreams together.
I first laid eyes on him on a sunny day at the beginning of college; he was sitting on the grass drinking cheap beer. My previously cynical attitude “love at first sight” must have been totally wrong, because before we were even introduced I was imagining what it would be like to be in a serious relationship with him!
Postscript: We formally met later that day and after nearly 2 years of separate apartments and constant sleepovers, we’re finally moving in together next week and we’ve never been happier!
On the night of my first high school homecoming, I got reacquainted with a former elementary school crush. When the night ended, he asked for my AIM screen name. I told him it would be the hardest thing he’d ever need to remember, but when I got home and turned on my computer, he was the first one to instant message me.
Postscript: Three years and just an hour short of six months, we parted ways.

We were laying on my bed, my head on his chest, when he said he had something important to tell me. When I sat up, I knew exactly what he was going to say, so I said “Me too.” We smiled at each other and that was that.
Postscript: He loved his job more, and gave up on “us” when I told him he was losing me two years later.
I realized that I didn’t want to do anything else but just talk to her for hours, about anything at all. The content never mattered, just hearing her voice has always been enough for me.
Postscript: Still going strong, the future is looking bright.

Our relationship started after we both had suffered serious breakups. I woke up one morning to an emailed picture of her swollen and bloody lip, sent from her mobile phone. She had gone out the night before. Turns out she had seen her ex at a bar, and he kissed her, and she kissed him back. Afterward she felt awful, she made the friend she was with punch her in the face. It is the most bizarre gesture of remorse I think I’ll ever witness.
Postscript: It’s now months later and the right side of her lip is still sort of puffy, if you know where to look. It’s her birthday and we’re moving in together.
He asked me out to a Japanese restaurant, and I insisted that we order the unagi sashimi. We decided we would take one each and eat it together. He asked what it was, and I said it was sea urchin. He was shocked, but said that he was very glad to have tried something new with me.
Postscript: Still going strong.
